DIA Combatant Command Professionals use their knowledge, skills and ability to understand military actions, world governments and global events. They make decisions and take actions that can help change outcomes. They are proficient at providing intelligence on behalf of the Combatant Commands that can inform law enforcement agencies and operational forces, policymakers and weapons acquisition officials.  They perform a pivotal role in national security as a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Intelligence Officer (Analysis, Collection, Intelligence Operations, Science and Technology), or Intelligence Support Officer (Acquisitions, Administrative Services, Communications and Media Services, Education, Facilities and Logistics, Financial Services, Health Services, Human Capital, Information Technology, Legal, Oversight and Compliance, Security). They collect, analyze and report intelligence on the military capabilities of foreign governments and organizations worldwide. They develop information technology that protects DIA resources. They deliver a range of mission-critical financial services and manage essential program functions; or take responsibility for a variety of contracting, logistical and administrative activities in response to issues of national importance.
