Description:DDL OMNI Engineering is currently seeking a Field Engineer II to support our Simulation and Systems Division. The position advises and guides on technical matter regarding installation, adaptation, configuration and/or enhancement of technical products, programs and systems. The incumbent develops and reviews designs by extracting and analyzing a variety of engineering data, to include schematics, designs, specifications, electrical drawings and diagrams; hardware fittings or test equipment; conventional piping systems; and building site layouts. The Field Engineer performs quality assurance on all technical tasks and assists with developing deliverables. Responsibilities include conducting tests and experiments requiring selection or modification of an assortment of critical test equipment and test procedures; setting up and operating equipment; recording data, measurement and problems of significant complexity that sometimes requires resolution at a higher level; and analyzing data and preparing test reports. Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering or a technical discipline and 5 years experience; or military/technical certification school and 10 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills Required: Six (6) years of full-time experience with oversight responsibilities associated with the design, test installation, modification, repair, and/or logistic support in one of the following disciplines:
The requirement for full-time experience precludes concurrent experience on more than one system / equipment unless they are all equivalent in complexity and maintenance philosophy.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
