Job Title: Field Engineer I

DDL OMNI Engineering is currently seeking a Field Engineer I to support our Simulation and Systems Division.  The incumbent will perform such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating waveforms and tracing relationships in signal flow.  Responsibilities include using technical expertise to resolve problems; training end-users and customer respondents; and testing and documenting results on equipment.  The position uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.   This is a great opportunity for a motivated Field Engineer I to participate in a team environment and make an impact immediately.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an electrical or technical discipline and 2 years experience; or military certification school and 5 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills Required:

• Expertise with the air, surface, or subsurface SONAR systems/equipment, particularly COTS based technologies using open architecture
• Experience with LINUX or UNIX, networked systems, IP based infrastructure, TCP internet protocol and the 7 layer OSI model

This position requires the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
