Description:


Assist the customer by monitoring SE IPT activities and plans, Mission Package Technology Development (MPTD) Working Group and Execution Plan.  Monitor and manage existing Modular Open Systems implementation process.  Establish and support the management of LCS Mission Module Technology Readiness Assessment Program. Coordinate with PARMS and MSST for Configuration Control and Interface Management, PARMS on Technology Development, and MPTD WG on Technology Assessment.  Establish and support the management of LCS Mission Module Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program.  Develop recommendations for process improvement in Systems Engineering, Open Systems Implementation, Technology selection and development; Establish / support the management process to analyze Mission Module functions to identify common functions for migration into the LCS Core (Particular attention will be focused on Command, Control, Communications, and Computing functions).  Assist set-up, management, execution and recording of formal technical reviews as appropriate to Mission Module integration.  Assist with System Engineering aspects of Test and Evaluation planning and coordination.  Assist in establishing system functional allocation boards where necessary to reduce redundancy of effort across PARMS and other mission system suppliers.  Verify that system cost and benefits trade analysis are completed in timely fashion with acceptable quality and accuracy.  Review business practices used in SE activities and offer recommendations for process improvement.  Monitor/staff Technology Development POM issues. Coordinate with Acquisition for Open Business Model implementation.  Coordinate with Acq. BFM on Mission Module Technology Development POM issues. Draft Systems Engineering Performance Metrics.  Perform initial Team Assessment of Systems Engineering process. Participate in SE IPT review and update the Systems Engineering Plan.


Experience Required:


15-20 years experience in Systems Engineering


 


Security Clearance Requirements: SECRET clearance required.


 


Education & Training: BS in Systems Engineering or equivalent.  MS in Systems Engineering preferred.


 


Special Skills/ Knowledge: DAWIA certification in T&E a plus.
