Description:DDL OMNI Engineering is currently seeking a Field Engineer I to support our Engineering Services Division. The position performs a wide range of complex activities to test, troubleshoot, install, calibrate, repair or modify electronic equipment and systems. The Field Engineer I conducts laboratory and shipboard installations on surface ships and submarines, observing SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC and Fly By wire requirements. Duties include: conducting ship checks for equipment installation and coordinating with design personnel, performing copper and fiber connector assembly and installing ShipAlts and TempAlts on submarines and surface ships. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Field Engineer I to participate in a team environment and make an impact immediately. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 2 years experience; or military/technical certification school and 5 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Skills Required: Two to five years of related work experience in addition to any experience in lieu of education This position requires the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
