- Analyze user/customer requirements related to software and/or software system design - Design and develop user interfaces - Design and develop software applications using development tools - Design and develop Web-based applications - Evaluate or test computer applications or programs to ensure compliance with technical professional, or organizational standards/requirements - Write and debug computer code - Develop test plans to evaluate software |

Qualifications |

- Entry is with a high school diploma and 7 years of experience, or an Associate's degree and 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, or a post-baccalaureate certificate and 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree. - Must meet Band 3 requirements as specified in examples above, plus one of the following: - A Master Degree in Computer Science or a related field - Additional experience which is clearly professional Computer Science practice that is related to the coursework described above (e.g., network administration, database management, artificial intelligence) - Programming experience - Software development life cycle experience (e.g., software design, quality assurance, testing, planning, requirements gathering, deployment) - Experience participating on a team software development activity - Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA certification desirable - Technical instruction experience (i.e., experience teaching relevant content) - Formal or informal technical leadership experience |
