Be part of an exciting
multi-functional team providing full life-cycle engineering and technical
development support to modernize and enhance the operational infrastructure of a
specialized customer at Fort Meade, MD. The Network Engineer will ensure that
network topologies, platforms, and operating systems utilized will allow for
flexibility, versatility, and usability of developed capabilities. Design and
define network architectures that implement PKI, VPN, and IPSEC technologies and
provide Computer Network and Computer Control technologies. Work closely with
other engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure that our customer's
mission critical needs are met in a creative, efficient, and effective way. Basic Requirements - US citizenship is required
- Active TS/SCI required. Ability to pass Full Scope Polygraph.
- Ten (10) years experience in the planning, design, development,
implementation and technical support of multi-platform, multi-system networks to
encompass diagnosing network performance shortcomings and designing and
implementing performance improvements. - Ten (10) years experience designing and implementing networks utilizing the
following network operating systems: Windows NT/2000/XP, UNIX, and LINUX. - CCNA certified at the Associate level with a preference to be professionally
certified in Network Security (CCSP), Network Design (CCDP), and/or Routing
& Switching (CCNP).
Other Requirements- A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Telecommunications, Information Systems,
Computer Science or related discipline is highly desired but will not count
toward the ten (10) years significant experience.
- Significant experience providing and implementing network infrastructures
and must have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required
to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled
environments. - Ability to work in a proactive and efficient manner
