Looking for personnel of all different expertise levels to provide technology enterprise management to support the Technology and Requirements Integration Division (TRID) in the Joint IED (IED) Defeat Organization’s (JIEDDO) mission of supporting Combatant Commanders’ efforts to defeat IEDs as weapons of strategic influence.

Background: In 2006, the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) was aligned as an official DoD organization by the Deputy Secretary of Defense. In 2007, the JIEDDO Capabilities and Acquisition Management Program became a DoD directive which defined the rapid acquisition process unique to JIEDDO and its ability to quickly find, test, and deliver C-IED solutions to U.S. and Coalition forces. Centric to this effort are the scientists and Program Integrators residing in the TRID. Scientists review solicited and unsolicited proposals for materiel and non-materiel C-IED solutions and rate them against defined criteria. Once accepted as approved initiatives they are passed to a Line of Operation (LOO) Integrated Product Team (IPT) for growth to an acceptable level of readiness for delivery to the theater of operation. The Program Integrators care for a number of initiatives through continuous Program Manager coordination and teaming until the milestone occurs which determines an initiative be either transferred or transitioned to a Service(s) or terminated.

Services to be performed:The functional areas that the contractor may provide support to JIEDDO for include but are not limited to:

1.) Analyzing the COCOM's capability gaps associated with the global war on terror (GWOT), focused primarily on the counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) technology gaps.

2.) Working to identify commercial and government off the shelf, government lab, commercial vendor, or allied nation technology that aligns with COCOM’s capability gaps technology gaps.

3.) Assists JIEDDO in maintaining close working relationships with government labs and program management organization, to develop and facilitate the procurement of technology to meet warfighter needs
