About Great Lakes Truck Driving School
Having enrolled students from Maryland to Florida on the East Coast, from Alaska to California on the West Coast, and throughout the Central and Midwest states, Great Lakes Truck Driving School is quickly becoming America’s Premier Training Facility for CDL, Heavy Equipment Operation, and Oilfield Certifications. This state of the art training facility is located within 30 minutes of downtown Cleveland and is easily accessible by major interstates, bus terminals and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The expansive 9,000 square foot facility houses spacious classrooms and administrative areas. Situated on a 10.7-acre training site, our students are able to utilize multiple trucks to perfect their maneuvering skills prior to setting out on the road-driving portion of their training. The Heavy Equipment Operation training area resembles a construction site where students learn safety, jobsite set-up, topography readings, grading techniques, trenching, laying pipe, loading dump trucks, footer set-up and more!
The instructional staff at Great Lakes Truck Driving School is made up of highly qualified professional drivers and heavy equipment operators with years of experience in their industry. Our dedicated staff pledges their unwavering commitment to:

Nearly half of our instructional staff are military veterans who are dedicated to helping our students build upon their military and training experience throughout their program. Our administrative staff members are trained and qualified to process active members and veterans for their VA educational benefits, including but not limited to Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits, Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill benefits, and Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation VA benefits.
Our training programs are designed to prepare graduates for a new career in truck driving, heavy equipment operation, and the oil & gas drilling industry. We are proud to report a placement rate of over 86% for our veteran graduates.
Many of the hiring companies that we work with have a preference for veteran employees and offer a variety of Military Veteran and Service Member programs.
