About L-3 Unidyne

L-3 Unidyne, Inc. has been a leader in the ship repair and modernization industry since 1970. With over 500 employees, we provide experienced and certified field engineers, tradespeople in a wide range of industrial trades, and Navy-trained technicians. Our employees provide engineering and technical services, end-to-end design, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, training, logistics, repair, and maintenance of HM&E and electronic systems aboard submarines, surface ships, and at Navy shore facilities. Our facilities include machine shops, laboratories, an electronic module testing facility, an injection molding facility, fabrication and mechanical production facilities, warehouses and staging areas, and secure stowage facilities. Major areas of expertise include modernization of US Navy ships and submarines by Alteration Installation teams operating worldwide. Systems recently installed include the Integrated Submarine Imaging System, the Carrier Tactical Support Center (CV-TSC), the AN/BLQ-10 submarine EW system, and the AN/WSN-7 family of ring laser gyro navigators. We install and support Battle Force Tactical Trainer ISEA and the BFTT family of systems. L-3 Unidyne operates the Navy Array Technical Support Center and we are the providing maintenance and modernization services for the Navy’s fleet of air cushioned landing craft (LCAC).
